CONTRACT WITH SUNCOAST WORKFORCE BOARD TO INCLUDE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN JEWISH FAMILY & CHILDREN'S SERVICE AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Description
The purpose of this contract with the Suncoast Workforce Board is to provide GED preparation, technical training, industry certification, and targeted support services to address barriers to successful completion for identified out-of-school youth. In partnership with Jewish and Children's Family Services, mentoring, childcare, transportation, and other identified barriers to employment and successful completion of the program will be addressed in addition to the academic remediation, technical training, and career placement services.
Recommendation
That the Memorandum of Understanding between Jewish Family & Children's Service and the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida, be approved.

Financial Impact
SCTI will reimburse JFCS up to $50,000 of grant funds for services over the 18 month period. Reduce the JFCS compensation on a percentage basis for clients who drop out of the program in line with funding reductions received by SCTI.
